Panel of the Wise
The Panel of the Wise was established pursuant to Article 11 of the Protocol Relating to the Establishment of the Peace and Security Council of the African Union in order to support the efforts of the Peace and Security Council and those of the Chairperson of the Commission, particularly in the area of conflict prevention. The Panel is composed of five highly respected African personalities with outstanding contribution to the cause of peace, security and development of the continent.
