Field Mission - Reports
The initiative to undertake field missions was taken in implementation of the Conclusions of the Dakar Retreat of 2007, where the Council expressed the need to undertake field missions to conflict (and post-conflict) areas with a view to enhancing its work. Field mission is an important tool for gathering first-hand information from consultations with different stakeholders on the ground, which is critical for the Council to adopt informed decisions.
