Provisional Programme of Work of the Peace and Security Council for the Month of October 2022, Adopted During the 1104th Meeting of the PSC Held on 12 September 2022.

The Peace and Security Council of the African Union adopted its October 2022 Provisional Programme of Work on 12 September 2022. The Council chair for October will be Morocco; among the activities lined up are two ministerial meetings on Development and deradicalization as levers to counter terrorism and violent extremism and Climate Change, Peace and Security Nexus: Building Resilience and adaptation for Food Security in the African Island States - towards COP27; ambassadorial level meetings on the Commemoration of UN Security Council resolution 1325 on Women, Peace and Security; Prevention of recruitment of child soldiers in conflict situations; the 9th Informal Joint Seminar between the AUPSC and the UNSC; the 16th Annual Joint Consultative Meeting between the AUPSC and the UNSC; Briefing on the situation in the Sahel region; Moreover, the Policy Conference on the nexus between Peace, Security and Development in Tangier, Morocco will take place during October; among other activities.
