The Council urged all the parties to work together and expeditiously to complete the process of consultations and negotiations to restore the country to constitutional order, appoint a Prime Minister, and draw up a new transitional agenda leading to elections. The Council also reiterated the commitment to undertake a field mission to Sudan in order to have a first-hand appreciation of the current situation towards contributing to the resolution of the crisis.
