Provisional Programme of Work of the Peace and Security Council of the African Union for the Month of June 2023.

Among the activities lined up for June include: Annual Consultative Meeting between the AUPSC and the Pan-African Parliament; Update Briefing on the situation in Central Africa Republic; Briefing update on the situation in the Horn of Africa ; Review on the progress made towards Silencing the Guns in Africa – M & E Mechanism of the AU Master Roadmap of Practical Steps to Silence the Guns in Africa by the Year 2030; Briefing on the Status of Implementation of the Common African Defence and Security Policy and other relevant Instruments on Defence and Security on the Continent with Special focus on: Update on the Operationalisation of the Africa Standby Force (Ministerial Level); and Briefing on the Continental Early Warning and Security Outlook. Also in the programme include the Technical Field Mission to Somalia by the Military Staff Committee and Briefing of the Retreat of the Committee of Experts.
